Introducing Kahaani Junction by Dharohar
A new space for honest stories and unfiltered learnings from our work on the ground.
Let’s start with two simple words.
ka·haa·ni /noun/ a story.
junc·tion /noun/ a point where two or more things are joined.
This publication is a meeting point. It’s where our work on the ground joins with the lessons we learn from it. And, more often than not, an interesting story comes out of it.
Sometimes it’s about a surprising win, sometimes it’s about a frustrating failure. Often, it’s just a small learning that changes how we see things.
Welcome to Kahaani Junction by Dharohar.
So, who are we?
These stories come from our journey at Dharohar, a not-for-profit in Udaipur, India. Our team works on the ground building community projects and learning experiences – from quiet reforestation efforts to vibrant public hubs like Third Space. We believe real growth happens when people connect, create, and contribute.
Through it all, we’ve learned that the path is never a straight line.
Why are we sharing this?
Because the most useful learnings are often the ones you won’t find in an annual report. We believe our stumbles are just as important to document as our successes.
So we’re keeping a public log of our experiences – the panga (challenges) and the seekh (learnings). We aren’t here to share “wisdom,” but to contribute to the sector’s conversation in a practical, honest way.
That’s the simple idea behind Kahaani Junction.
Our first story is about a park, a group of angry boys, and a decision that went against all logic. It will be in your inbox soon.
Until then, if you know a colleague, friend, or fellow builder who might find this space useful, we’d appreciate it if you shared it with them.
Thanks for being here at the start.
